Clavo Recipe

Pick leaves of low-lying shrubs in the woods between Braide Wood and Ferntwine. Hang indoors to dry. Some people use heat trivets to speed the process, but others claim it makes the flavor bitter.

Grind and mix with the bark of the honeywood trees. Sprinkle into a large bowl of water held at a boil on a heat trivet and cover to steep. Ladle into mugs using a special straining ladle.

Susan’s Adaptation:

Steep chai tea, with cloves and a dash of cracked pepper. Strain and serve.

I just began reading "The Restorer" on my iPad and the code led me here. This is the first time I've encountered this kind of engagement in a book. I'm enjoying it immensely. Thank you.

Hi, JML!
Thanks for letting me know.
The "Expanded Edition" with all the links, etc., is being taken out of print (for a variety of reasons) but it was very fun to create the version with the extras. I'm glad you got a copy of the version before it was gone and are having fun with those extras. :-)

Your books are going out of print?

Hi, Naomi!
Only the "expanded editions" are being discontinued. The new publisher (Enclave) has been creating new editions without all the bonus material. The good news is, all the bonus scenes are now available on my website.
:-)
Blessings!
