More from Day One (July 9, 2007)

In addition to the great conversations, the book signing, and the meet and greet with the Fantasy Fiction Tour group, I also had some media appointments during the first day of ICRS. Here's a photo of a television interview with Kim Gravel of WATC television. She was so warm and enthusiastic about Christian fiction, and absolutely lit up when I mentioned how the biblical story of Deborah had been an inspiration for The Restorer. I felt like I was chatting with an old friend.

The day ended with a dinner with American Christian Fiction Writers. The best part of these ICRS days? My dear hubby flew down to Atlanta to be with me for this middle section of the trip. (After some meetings and a writing retreat, and before the tour hit the road). Without him, I'm sure I would never have gotten to each appointment on time or found my way around the huge convention center. His comforting presence, along with lots of Halls Honey & Lemon cough drops, kept me going in spite of a sore throat and voice that kept giving out.

Tomorrow - Day Two of ICRS (and another Fantasy Fiction Tour moment).

Sharon, is there any place we can watch this interview? I'd love to see it, and I'm enjoying hearing your *front line* news!

Hi, Val!
Glad you're enjoying my recap.
My publicist is still waiting for the info on when/where the television interview will air - I'll post it when I have news. :-)

Blessings!

Sharon, I can't tell you how much of a blessing it is, reading all these recaps ... I read all the blogging and watched all those wonderful videos while y'all were on tour, and I prayed and rejoiced for all that God was doing. Thanks for continuing to share!

I love reading these. Even though you'll be blogging about the same days that Christopher, Wayne, and Bryan did, each blog is from a completely different perspective, and I absolutely love it. It show's all of y'all's different personalities and it's great! I look forward to the rest of it :)

I love it too! What one leaves out the other mentions, and what one mentions the other elaborates on! And now, I can enjoy it, during the tour and your visit I was so stinkin busy it was a blur! I have to keep looking down at the Becky Miller Tool Kit and pinching myself to convince the doubter in me that it really happened. Oh, and I've decided I need to purchase a 'loaner/readers' copy of The Restorer because I don't want my signed one getting hurt! ;)

Oh, but signed ones that get "hurt" give it character!

Just don't dog-ear the pages and you'll be fine :p

I haven't had a chance to spend time with my Becky Miller tool kit :( Hopefully soon.

LOL Oh, mine get lovingly read and re read, but my friends tend to be a tad rough on books.

heh... I'm rather rough on my books too...
although I'm always willing to lend out my books, 'cause then more people get to enjoy them!
